Matcha is powdered green tea, whisked with hot water in a wide bowl called a chawan. Most of our matcha bowls are handcrafted in glazed ceramic, including spouted katauchi bowls. Our tea ceremony sets include a tea bowl, a bamboo whisk (chasen), a whisk holder and a scoop (chashaku). Some bowls are sold without a whisk, so please check each listing. Because the bowls are handcrafted, sizes and glazes vary slightly. For everyday cups, see our ceramic tea cups.
