Gaiwans

A gaiwan is a small bowl with a lid and a saucer, made for gongfu-style tea brewing. Our gaiwans hold about 100 to 200 ml. Most are porcelain or ceramic, in plain white, blue and white, or hand-painted designs such as orchids and cherry blossom. You will also find gaiwans in zisha clay. Several come as a set with small matching cups. Hand-painted pieces vary a little from one to the next. For more small cups, see our ceramic tea cups.
