Kenzan Flower Frogs

A kenzan, or flower frog, is a heavy base set with sharp pins. It sits under water in the vase and holds each stem at the angle you choose. Press the end of each stem onto the pins. Stainless steel kenzans suit both woody branches and soft stems, and brass kenzans suit soft stems best. A black kenzan hides well in a dark vase. Here you will find kenzans on their own, in round, rectangular and fan shapes, and ikebana vases that come with a kenzan. See all our ikebana vases.
